Authentic Healing LLC supports clear, upfront conversations about counseling costs. If you are uninsured or are not using insurance, federal law generally entitles you to a written Good Faith Estimate of expected charges for non-emergency care.
This page explains that right. Your clinician will provide an individualized estimate based on the services and frequency planned for your care; this webpage is not your personal estimate.
Care scheduled 3–9 business days ahead: within 1 business day after scheduling.
Care scheduled at least 10 business days ahead: within 3 business days after scheduling.
An estimate requested before scheduling: within 3 business days of the request.
Your estimate should itemize expected services and charges. Counseling costs may depend on session type, length, and frequency. The same self-pay rates apply to all team members: $60 for individual counseling and $80 for couples or family counseling per session. Confirm current fees and insurance benefits before scheduling. An estimate is not a contract requiring you to receive care, and unexpected services may affect actual charges. Keep a copy of your written estimate.
If a provider’s bill is at least $400 above that provider’s Good Faith Estimate, you may qualify for the federal patient-provider dispute process. You generally must begin the process within 120 calendar days of receiving the initial bill. Contact the practice about billing questions and consult CMS for eligibility and instructions.
